Village party: order of events!

For those of you who cannot wait until tomorrow, here’s a preview of the events order: fingers crossed for decent sunshine for us (and also for the happy couple and parties everywhere, of course!).

Event order
Party on, Garth...!

Bring something for the BBQ and a side-dish or dessert for the Village Table, plus whatever you would like to drink; please note that children who use the bouncy castle will need to do so under the supervision and responsibility of their parents / guardians.

Please note that the event will be subject to change in the event of poor weather: keep an eye on the Forum first thing tomorrow for details.

We need your raffle prizes…

(By which I don’t mean we want your prizes that you’ve already won!)

With the Village Party approaching a week on Friday, we still need your donations for prizes for the raffle stall. Proceeds from the stall will go towards covering the costs of the event, plus future workshops and events organised for the local community by the Forum, about which you can read more here on the website.

Thanks to those who’ve already generously donated prizes for the stall: any more gratefully received! Please e-mail either Dan or Miriam at the Forum if you’d like to donate a prize.

Here’s hoping the weather for the Village Party is as good as today’s weather has been!

Fancy that! Fancy dress parade at the Village Party

As part of the Village Party on Friday 29 April, children (and any eager adults!) are welcome to come in fancy dress: superheroes, prince and princesses, pirates, you name it!

There’ll be a procession of all the children in their costumes at the party – probably before the food and the bouncy castle take their toll, perhaps…

See you there!

Village Party: Friday 29 April!

As mentioned before, the village will celebrate the Royal Wedding on Friday 29 April with a party on the village playing fields from 12-3pm!

Put out more flags...

Featuring a bbq, ice-cream stall, face-painting and bouncy castle, it’s going to be a fun-filled afternoon: admission is free, you simply need to bring something for the bbq and a side-dish or dessert, plus whatever you want to drink.

There’ll be a raffle as well: please contact Miriam or Dan via the forum if you would like to donate a prize, all gratefully received!

In the event that the weather doesn’t favour us, the event will take place in the village hall itself, where, alas, there’s no room for a bouncy castle…

Open to members of the local village and school community, families and friends: join the party on the Facebook Event page as well!

Fingers crossed for some fine weather: get the date in your diaries now, we’ll see you there!
