Sports:
The Exchange Cafe was in vibrant form this afternoon, as the first of the new after-school golf sessions got underway.
There was some enthusiastic swishing of irons as the children got to grips with learning how to hold the club, under the watchful eye of Jamie and Liam from Boughton Golf Club. The children took it in turns to stand inside hoops, take stance and strike the ball, with flags and net-rings marking out the distances. Buckets of golf-balls were slowly emptied over the course of the session, as the children took great delight in peppering the field.
Great fun was had by everyone, and the cafe has never been so busy: the second session is next week: see you there!
Thanks to Jamie and Liam from Boughton for running the session.
